Community Investment Volunteers -- We need YOU.

Related:

The Heartland United Way recently completed a record breaking financial campaign as a result of the tireless effort of many volunteers. In April, United Way volunteers will complete the next step - the annual Community Investment Process. This involves the review of  the numerous programs offered by our partner agencies which receive United Way funding. Each funded program will be thoroughly examined and discussed by teams of community volunteers. Funding decisions for agency programs are based upon the recommendations made by our volunteers. The success of the Community Investment Process is dependent upon the commitment and dedication of our volunteer team members. While we have several volunteers, we still need more – in other words we need YOU!

Anyone reading this blog is most likely already a dedicated community volunteer and United Way supporter. We volunteer our time for many different reasons, but at the end of the day it is really pretty simple – it’s the right thing to do. I don’t need to tell you how valuable your time and commitment are to help us achieve our goals to improve education, help people achieve financial stability and promote healthy lifestyles.

One day at a time, one step at a time, one hand extended to help another in need - by working together we WILL make a difference.

Please volunteer one day to serve as a Community Investment team member.
