Advocate

How can you become an advocate for positive change?

You can help inspire hope and create opportunities for a better tomorrow by talking about important issues and laying the groundwork for positive change. There are many ways to reach out and improve the condition of our community.  You can start small by wearing a Live United shirt to show your support and work up to writing letters to members of Congress.

There is no change without action.  If you want to break the cycle of family violence, assist our youth in transitioning into a healthy adulthood or help those suffering from substance abuse, you must speak up and be part of the solution. You can work to improve any issue that interests you from low literacy rates or lack of senior services to poverty and the obesity epidemic.

There are many ways to champion important causes within your own community.  So go on, get informed, give your time, write a letter, wear the shirt, tell a friend and share your story.
