Crisis Center's OUTDOOR EXPLORE: GARDENS AND MORE

Most people are familiar with and enjoy attending garden walk fundraisers, so Crisis Center, Inc. decided to take the theme one step further by including more than just gardens in their first-ever Outdoor Explore fundraiser. This year’s event will include a huge Husker-themed room, a backyard beach resort, and so much more!

Grand Island, NE  June 24, 2017– Most people are familiar with and enjoy attending garden walk fundraisers, so Crisis Center, Inc. decided to take the theme one step further by including more than just gardens in their first-ever Outdoor Explore fundraiser. This year’s event will include a huge Husker-themed room, a backyard beach resort, and so much more!

‘Outdoor Explore: Gardens & More,’ a fundraiser for the Crisis Center will be held Saturday, June 24 from 8am-4pm. ‘Outdoor Explore’ is a tour of yards in our community that have outstanding decks, water or fire features, and gardens to benefit the Crisis Center. Each attendee will purchase a ticket that allows them admittance to the yard on June 24 between the hours noted. Tickets will include a map to get to the garden, a personal message from each yard owner, and information about the raffle items. Two out of the five yards will feature a professional landscaper or gardener to answer any questions that you may have. Tickets can be purchased at the Crisis Center office, Hy-Vee, Feel Fit Gym, Ace Hardware Garden Center, Shelton Open Air Nursery, and Lewis Greenscape for $15 each if purchased before the event or for $20 on the day of the event. Raffle tickets are also available for 1 for $1, 6 for $5, or 14 for $10. Some of the items on the raffle drawing include: a Family Day Pass to Island Oasis, 4 Gate Passes to the Nebraska State Fair, a Pond Light Kit by Little Giant, a Husker-themed basket, a Weber Fire Pit, plus so much more! 


Crisis Center, Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides 24-hour emergency and supportive services for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault. Programs include Safe shelters, On-scene advocacy, Peer support groups for adults and children, Crisis support, Education/Prevention Programs, and Batterer Intervention Programs.
