Donna Douglass has been the Director of Community Impact at the Heartland United Way since January 2024. Donna received her Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Nebraska at Kearney.

Donna and her husband Terry moved to Grand Island in 1997. They have raised their 4 boys here. Prior to joining the United Way Donna worked for St. Leo’s Church for 20 years where she implemented and ran its Outreach Program. Some of Donna’s previous work was case manager to homeless families, Executive Director of what is now Hope Harbor and a coach for youth who have experienced foster care, homelessness or are pregnant or parenting youth who lack adult support.

Donna currently serves on the Goodwill Housing Board, St. Leo’s Maintenance Committee and the GISH Touchdown Club.

Donna enjoys sharing her passion for health by teaching Spin and Lunch Crunch classes. She finds joy in spending time with family and friends, organizing and watching sports.
