United Way Day of Action

Each year, United Way Worldwide hosts a Day of Action on the longest day of the year, June 21st. The Heartland United Way will partner with local helping agencies for our Day of Action project, "Fostering Hope in the Heartland".
During the month of May (Foster Care Awareness Month), we are collecting NEW blankets, stuffed animals and pilliows for foster children of all ages. This project aims to provide 400 foster care children with a "Forever Bag" of their own. Cases will contain essentials and comfort items for children age 0-18. Cases will be distributed to benefit children in Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick Counties.  Click here to view the poster.
