Silver bell hangs on a raffle drum

GRAND ISLAND, NEBRASKA (November 24, 2025) Heartland United Way asked you to believe in the magic of giving and donors in Hall, Hamilton, Howard and Merrick Counties continue to deliver.

Campaign Chairs Kent and Tonja Brown kicked off that generosity in a big way. Their donation launched the Heartland United Way $50k Giveaway.

Starting November 24th the Heartland United Way began randomly selecting names from those who have entered the drawing to be the 25 silver bell winners. Like the Heartland United Way’s Facebook page, and listen to KRGI’s 1430 AM radio show and Local4 Midday to find out if your name has been drawn.

Bell Winners

  • Bell #1 Carolyn Rasmussen
  • Bell #2 Dan & Karina Codispot, Chief Fabrication

There is still time to come together to create the magic of giving.

“We truly believe ‘United Is The Way’ is more than a tagline. It is the WAY our area has always been involved and allowed our communities to survive and thrive!  So, UNITED with us and let's all help our agencies thrive for good,” said Kent and Tonja Brown.

Those who donate at least $312, or $6 a week, will qualify for an entry into the Heartland United Way $50k Giveaway.
Of the 25 bell winners, three will ring in the new year with one of three cash prizes: $5,000, $15,000, and $30,000. The 25th bell winner will be drawn during our $50K Giveaway at Raising Nebraska from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. on December 16th.
