Welcoming Week is dedicated to fostering an inclusive community, bringing together public and private organizations along with local residents to support and celebrate Grand Island’s immigrant and refugee populations, while promoting a culture of welcome and belonging.
Each year the Heartland United Way hosts a tour of diverse Grand Island businesses called the 4th Street Business Tour. In 2025, there will be a morning and night option. The AM Edition is September 15th from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. The PM Edition is September 17th from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
